When traveling the world, it is better to have cash on hand. However, in the case of leaving the country, it is necessary to follow the currency declaration rules to avoid problems and fines.
According to the official website of the State Customs Service, Ukrainians are allowed to bring in or take out money up to 10,000 euros without restrictions. If this amount is exceeded, it is necessary to declare the money.
If the currency declaration rules are violated, a fine of 20% of the excess amount may be imposed, as well as an additional penalty of 100% of the amount for attempting to evade control when moving money across the border.
