Money from UNHCR Ukraine — how to receive payments in July

In the Sumy region, there is a financial assistance program from UNHCR Ukraine. Only those who meet certain criteria can receive payments due to the organization's limited financial resources.

This was reported by the press center of UNHCR Ukraine representatives on Telegram.

Who can receive payments under the UNHCR Ukraine program

UNHCR Ukraine is the representative office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees in Ukraine. Its program is aimed at supporting internally displaced persons (IDPs). Each family member is entitled to a payment of 3.6 thousand UAH for three months (10.8 thousand UAH paid in one installment for three months).

Specifically, residents of the Krolivets territorial community in the Sumy region can register for pre-registration on July 10.

Payments may be claimed by citizens who have not received financial assistance from similar organizations in the last quarter, and have an income of no more than 5.4 thousand UAH per person in the household:

  • internally displaced persons who moved within the last six months;
  • refugees who arrived from abroad after being forced to leave at the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation.

Money will be prioritized for those who have one of the following vulnerability criteria:

  • a household led by only a father or mother with children under 18 or elderly persons (aged 55 and older);
  • the household consists only of elderly citizens;
  • older people in the household care for minor children;
  • the family has citizens with disabilities or serious illnesses who need care.
