Tkach breaks the European speed climbing record.


New European record set by Yaroslav Tkach
Ukrainian Yaroslav Tkach broke the previous European record at the European Cup competitions in Zakopane, Poland. In the final of the tournament, he showed a Time of 4.93 seconds, surpassing Hryhorii Ilchyshyn, who finished in 4.97 seconds.
Tkach broke the previous record of 4.94 seconds, held by Italian Matteo Curlo. Only two Ukrainian athletes made it out of five seconds at the stage in Zakopane, including Tkach himself.

In another record performance, Tkach repeated the national record time of 5.09 seconds at the World Cup stage in Uzhgorod, reaching the end of the quarter-finals. It is worth recalling that Roman Svichkar and Alina Komashchuk won gold and silver at the European fencing championship.
