Ukraine took ninth place at the futsal World Championship for athletes with hearing impairments.


The futsal World Championship for athletes with hearing impairments ended in Montesilvano (Italy). 18 teams participated, divided into three groups. The Ukrainian team was in Group B and played against Kuwait, Sweden, Kazakhstan, Brazil, and Finland.
The Ukrainian team placed 4th in their sextet after the group stage and advanced to the consolation round for places 9-16. During this round, they achieved three victories, which allowed them to secure 9th place overall at the championship.
Group stage: Kuwait – Ukraine – 5:3, Sweden – Ukraine – 3:1, Ukraine – Kazakhstan – 1:1, Brazil – Ukraine – 4:3, Ukraine – Finland – 17:2.
Consolation round (for 9-16 places): Ukraine – Argentina – 5:2, Ukraine – Japan – 7:2, Ukraine – Kazakhstan – 6:2.
Composition of the Ukrainian team: Oleg Tril, Yegor Tretyakov, Sergey Baev, Dmitry Klimentyev, Ivan Rudzhevich, Oleg Grynyuk, Volodymyr Riy, Bohdan Myshchenko, Dmitry Belyusov, Oleksandr Vereshchaka, Roman Striysky, Dmitry Ukrainets.
Champions League qualifying round for 'Dynamo'
In the second qualifying round of the Champions League, 'Dynamo' will play against the winner of the pair 'Zalgiris' – 'Hamrun Spartans'. The first official matches of the new season for the Kyivans are scheduled for July 22/23 and July 29/30. The first match will be away, the second at home.
The Ukrainian team showed dignity at the futsal World Championship, achieving 9th place. This indicates a high level of training of Ukrainian athletes with hearing impairments. 'Dynamo' is preparing for important matches in the Champions League, where the team hopes to demonstrate their strength and achieve successful results.
