Loss of Military ID — What Fine You Will Have to Pay.


According to the legislation of Ukraine, every conscript, reservist, or draftee must reliably store their military ID, update its details in a timely manner, and adhere to the rules of military registration. An administrative penalty is anticipated for the loss of this document.
Experts from the 'Free Legal Aid' service explained the fines for losing a military ID and the procedure for its renewal.
Fines for Losing a Military ID
Loss or damage of a military ID is considered an offense that incurs a fine ranging from 510 to 850 hryvnias. In the case of a repeat loss or loss during a state of martial law, the fine ranges from 850 to 1,700 hryvnias.
Procedure for Renewing a Military ID
In case of loss of a military ID, the individual must contact the head of the district (city) Military Commissariat with a corresponding application and a 3x4 cm photo. It is also necessary to submit a report to the commander regarding the circumstances of the loss, a matte photo, the damaged document (if available), and an extract from the order on the results of the service investigation.

The military ID will be renewed within five working days.
