Telegram is the most popular source of information for 47% of Ukrainians
According to a survey by the sociological group "Rating", the messenger Telegram is the most popular source of information for 47% of Ukrainians.
The survey also revealed other sources of information, such as YouTube (26%), "Unified News Marathon" (21%), eyewitness accounts/acquaintances and official state sources (both - 19%). TV channels not included in the "Unified News Marathon" are also a source of information for 16% of respondents. Ukrainian online media and international media are preferred by 15% and 14% of respondents respectively.
Social networks and messengers are the main sources of misinformation
According to the survey, social networks are the main source of misinformation for 53% of Ukrainians. Messengers, particularly Telegram, are also a source of misinformation for 35% of respondents. Television also plays an important role in spreading misinformation - it is a source for 32% of respondents.
The majority of Ukrainians consider misinformation a serious problem
According to the survey results, 89% of respondents recognized the problem of misinformation as serious. Among them, 56% consider this issue very serious, and 33% - rather serious. Only 10% of respondents do not consider misinformation and fakes a serious problem.
Ukrainians are not in a hurry to go abroad
According to a survey by the Center for International Institutional Comparisons and Migration Studies at the Ifo Institute in Munich, almost 25% of Ukrainian refugees plan to settle abroad in the long term.
It was also found that only 19% of Ukrainians are ready to move to the USA or EU even with the citizenship of these countries. This number has increased compared to September 2022 but remains lower than in 2020. Most Ukrainians (79%) state that even if they received citizenship of the USA or EU, they would still stay in Ukraine.
