Mom, I endured! Oksana Zabuzhko's post about the captives touched the network.

Before Easter, there was a prisoner exchange between Ukraine and Russia, resulting in the release of 277 people from each side. This was reported by Glavkom, referencing statements from the famous writer and political activist Oksana Zabuzhko.

In her Facebook post, Zabuzhko noted the important role of women in wars and their invisibility. She shared her impressions of the scene during the pre-Easter release of the captives. One of the most striking moments for Zabuzhko was that most of the released were young, even children.

Returned to their homeland, they shouted to their mothers: 'Mom, I endured! I endured everything!'. According to Zabuzhko, this cry reflects the change of Time and context in which it sounds. It is important that the sons remained strong and did not break. Such a cry is every mother's dream when her son returns from war.

Zabuzhko emphasized that women play an important role in war, as well as in any sphere of life. They raise boys who can become either warriors or draft dodgers. Therefore, the female face is present in all manifestations of war, although it is hard to reveal.

On April 19, during the prisoner exchange, another emotional event occurred. A mother and son, who had not seen each other for a long time, met in a bus for the released. They finally got the chance to be together again.
