The second stage of the exchange '1000 for 1000': Ukraine returned 307 individuals from Russian captivity.

Prisoner exchange as part of the agreement between Ukraine and Russia
On May 24, the second stage of prisoner exchange between Ukraine and Russia took place in the format of '307 for 307'. This exchange was part of the '1000 for 1000' agreement, which was established after the return of Ukrainians from Russian captivity last year. This information was made public by Russian media and the publication 'Glavkom'.
Currently, the Ukrainian side has not officially confirmed this prisoner exchange.
It is worth recalling that yesterday, May 23, 390 Ukrainians returned to Ukraine in the initial stage of the exchange. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky noted that this exchange is the sixth of the year and the 65th overall since the beginning of the conflict.
Among those freed were representatives of various military structures – from the Armed Forces to the National Guard and the State Border Guard Service.
Negotiations were held between Ukraine and Russia in Istanbul. European leaders expressed their outrage regarding Russia's position during these negotiations, emphasizing that it is Moscow that is hindering the process of achieving a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
