The defense forces reported the elimination of Mergen Budayev - a Russian occupier who was a talented boxer. He was born on April 24, 1986, and started boxing at an early age. Budayev was a two-Time winner of the Buryatia championship among juniors and a two-time medalist of all-Russian boxing tournaments in Irkutsk and Ulan-Ude. In 2005, he became a candidate for master of sports of the Russian Federation in boxing. Since the beginning of the Russian aggression, Mergen Budayev participated in combat actions against Ukraine, particularly in Hostomel, Irpin, and Bucha. Russian propaganda sources reported that Budayev received four wounds, two of which were severe, but he still returned to the war. Mergen Budayev's call sign was 'Tungus'. The senior sergeant, a sniper reconnaissance, was eliminated by Ukrainian defenders in February 2025 in Donetsk region. The farewell to the occupier is scheduled for April 25, he was left with a daughter.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine also reported the elimination of Bator Erdiniev - a Russian occupier who was also a well-known wrestler. He was born on April 17, 1981, and was a multiple medalist of district and republican free wrestling tournaments. In December 2023, Erdiniev voluntarily joined the occupying fifth tank brigade. He was a guard lieutenant and commander of a tank platoon in the tank company of the 5th guard tank brigade's tank battalion. Bator Erdiniev, nicknamed 'Bargut', was eliminated on March 26, 2025, in Donetsk region. He left behind a wife and two daughters. The farewell to the occupier took place on April 18 in Ulan-Ude.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine also eliminated Oleksiy Yablonsky - a Russian occupier from Crimea who was previously a well-known football player and futsal player. Yablonsky was born on June 6, 1989, and was raised in Sevastopol. He played in the Ukrainian championships of futsal and beach soccer, and was part of the 'Krymteplytsia' team in the First League of football and the 'Myri' team in the Second League. After the annexation of Crimea, Yablonsky continued his career in the occupied peninsula in the so-called 'Premier League of the Crimean Football Union'. The eliminated occupier left behind a wife and two children.
