Heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk expressed his surprise that Tyson Fury supports a person with close ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin. Usyk categorized the Kremlin figure as someone who helps Russian soldiers and stated that he is a 'bad guy,' adding that he does not understand why a successful boxer in the unified division supports him.

Usyk commented on the situation with Fury in an interview with the YouTube channel The Stomping Ground.

Usyk also noted that he does not intend to conduct a third fight with Tyson Fury, and his attention is currently focused on the fight with Daniel Dubois on July 19 in London. After this bout, he will consider the possibility of a rematch with his British opponent.

Usyk expressed concern about how Tyson Fury supports a person with Russian connections, stating that this negatively affects the relationship between boxers. Currently, Usyk is concentrating on upcoming fights but leaves open the possibility of a rematch with Fury in the future.
