Zelensky imposed sanctions against companies from China — what is the reason.

On the night of Friday, July 4, components of Chinese origin were found in the wreckage of downed Shahed drones during the shelling of Kyiv. Ukraine imposed restrictions against certain Chinese companies that supplied parts to sanctioned Russian enterprises in 2024–2025.
Vlad Vasyuk, the Commissioner for Sanctions, reported on the new restrictions. The list includes companies Ningbo BLIN Machinery Co., Ltd and Suzhou ECOD Precision Manufacturing, whose products were used in the production of combat drones for Russia.
What is known about the new sanctions against Chinese companies
Ukraine is cooperating with the international sanctions coalition to expand the list of restrictions against other manufacturers that supplied the military-industrial complex of Russia. These measures aim to cut off the supply of critical components used by Russia in attacks on Ukrainian cities.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine on July 8, 2025, regarding the approval of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions) against certain legal entities. The sanctions were imposed on the recommendation of the Security Service of Ukraine, with specific legal entities mentioned in the annex to the decision.
Ukraine is once again tightening sanctions against companies that violate international legislation and cooperate with the enemies of the country, which contributes to maintaining the security and defense capability of the state in conditions of escalating tensions in the region.
