Zaporizhzhia NPP is again on the brink of blackout.

One of the two power transmission lines connecting the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP with the Ukrainian energy system was disconnected today due to enemy shelling. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy. Now the station is powered by only one line, which puts its safe operation at risk. If the station is disconnected from external power, it will pose a threat to radiation safety.
Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko noted that only regaining control over the occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP can guarantee the station's safe operation. Recall, this is not the first case of power line disconnection at the ZNPP.
IAEA experts recommend not restarting the reactors of the Zaporizhzhia NPP while the war continues. It was also reported of a possible drone attack on one of the substations on the station's territory. Russian occupiers use this territory as a base for training drone pilots.
The IAEA demands that Russia immediately leave the ZNPP territory and de-occupy it.
