Scientists have discovered large reserves of hydrogen in the Earth's depths
According to new research, the Earth's depths contain a trivial amount of hydrogen - approximately 6.2 trillion tons. This significantly exceeds the remaining oil reserves. However, scientists are still unsure how to access these reserves.
Research data indicates that hydrogen could become an important substitute for fossil fuels. The energy that can be obtained from hydrogen is twice that which can be obtained from natural gas. Forecasts also suggest that the demand for hydrogen will increase by 5 times by 2050, and its use in the economy will account for about 30% of energy supply.
