From yogurts to lactose-free milk: Ukrainians explained which 'healthy' dairy contains the most chemicals.

Ukrainians were told which healthy dairy contains the most 'chemicals'.
This was reported by 'Hvylya', referring to a material from RBC-Ukraine (the Styler project).
Dairy products are an important part of healthy nutrition, but not all of them are equally beneficial. Modern production can use various additives that reduce the nutritional value of the product.
In particular, this applies to yogurts with fruit additives. Manufacturers add artificial components: flavoring agents to enhance taste, colorants for attractive color, starch for thickness, and also a lot of sugar. All this changes the properties of the dairy product.
Particular attention should be paid to processed cheese products, which are not natural products. Chemical additives are used in their production - phosphates for consistency, emulsifiers for homogeneity, and preservatives for long shelf life. They contain almost no real cheese, so it is better not to buy them.
Condensed milk often deceives buyers. Instead of the classic product made of milk and sugar, shoppers can find imitations with vegetable fats and artificial sweeteners on the shelves. Such a product contains no beneficial properties and has extra calories.
Glazed curds are also under the suspicion of dietitians. They contain palm oil, artificial thickeners, flavoring agents, and harmful trans fats. Regular cheese with fresh fruits or berries is a better alternative.
Lactose-free milk also has its downsides. Special enzymes and stabilizers that change the composition of milk are used in its production. Plant-based milk alternatives, which have extra sugar added, should be consumed with caution.
To choose quality dairy products, one should follow a few simple rules:
- Carefully examine the product composition. A quality dairy product should contain a minimum of ingredients - milk and a starter culture for fermented dairy products.
- Pay attention to the expiration date. The shorter the life, the fewer preservatives it contains. A long shelf life is usually achieved through the addition of preservatives.
- Try to buy products from local manufacturers, especially those without artificial flavorings and sweeteners. Such products are usually fresher and more natural.
As a reminder, experts explained how the increase in fuel prices will affect the cost of essential products.
