In Uman, drones damaged infrastructure: the city is partially without light and heat.


The Russian Federation attacked Ukraine with drones
On the night of January 28, the Russian Federation launched an attack on Ukraine using drones. Unfortunately, as a result, the city of Uman was affected. This was reported by the head of the Cherkasy Regional State Administration, Ihor Taburets.
The Cherkasy Regional State Administration has already started restoring the infrastructure object that was damaged during the attack. Energy company employees are working on restoring electricity supply.
The authorities are working on restoration
Ihor Taburets noted: «This night was very troubling for the entire Cherkasy region. The Uman air defense service was on alert. However, the attacks from Russia had consequences for Uman. All regional services are doing everything they can to restore the situation in the communal sector as soon as possible».
Currently, it is unknown which specific objects were damaged as a result of the Russian attack. However, a headquarters for eliminating the consequences of this emergency situation is already operating at the scene.
Restoration of energy supply and utility services
The mayor of Uman, Iryna Pletniova, is actively working on restoring heating, electricity, and water supply.
Iryna Pletniova wrote: «Energy companies are making every effort to restore electricity supply. Umanvodokanal is operating on generators to provide residents with water and maintain sewage services. Uman Teplokomunenergo is also doing everything possible to address the heating issue for homes».
Attacks on other cities
Attacks by Russia using kamikaze drones have also been recorded in the city of Chernihiv.
In addition, Russian forces attacked Odesa using 'Shaheds'. As a result of these attacks, houses were damaged, and four cars caught fire.
In Kharkiv, explosions were heard as a result of drone strikes, leading to damage to a gas pipeline and vehicles. A fire occurred at an enterprise in the Novobavarskyi district of the city, covering an area of 1500 m². During the fire, production premises were burned down.
