A new tax may be introduced in Ukraine for taxi drivers, couriers, and sellers.

Ukraine plans to adopt a law that will relate to the taxation of well-known Ukrainian and foreign online platforms. According to information from 'Khvilya', this is reported in an article by RBC-Ukraine.
According to the draft law, all individuals who earn income working as a courier, taxi driver, landlord, or content maker will be required to pay taxes. This law is part of the European package and the IMF requirements.
The aim of the law is to create a special taxation system for those who earn unofficial income on online platforms, as well as to ensure easy access for the State Tax Service to their bank accounts.
The law stipulates that operators of digital platforms must report the income of their users, such as drivers, landlords, couriers who provide paid services or food products.
The draft law is part of international efforts to combat tax evasion through digital platforms. As part of this agreement, automatic exchange of tax information between countries is envisaged.
Individuals earning income through online platforms are required to pay a 5% personal income tax and a 5% military levy, totaling 10%.
Taxes will be paid on the rental of real estate, rental of vehicles, personal services, and sales of goods through online platforms.
This law has an international character, meaning that international platforms will also be able to transfer relevant information to Ukraine. For self-employed individuals who will pay taxes independently, it is planned to create a special bank account.
This draft law is an important step in the development of the taxation system in Ukraine and combating tax evasion through digital platforms.
