Volcano eruption in Indonesia: fatalities and thousands affected.

Volcano eruption on Flores Island: death of 10 people
On the night of November 4, the eruption of the Lewotobi Lakilaki volcano occurred on the remote Indonesian island of Flores. According to Indonesia's National Disaster Management Agency, at least 10 people were killed.
After midnight, the volcanic eruption began, resulting in dense brown ash being expelled up to a height of 2000 meters. This ash caused fires in nearby villages and destroyed several houses, including a Catholic monastery.
The level of danger was increased, and the danger zone was expanded to 7 km around the volcano. Volcanic material was ejected up to 6 km from the crater, burying surrounding villages and towns and leading to the evacuation of residents.
As a result of the eruption, about 10,000 people were affected in six nearby villages. According to a local official, at least 10 people have died so far, and the eruption has impacted seven villages.
“This morning, we began evacuating residents to other villages located about 20 km from the crater”, the official said.
Recall that the Philippine Taal volcano recently erupted, releasing a column of steam over 2 km high.
