Ukrainian SIM cards in 'Shaheds': The Rada prepares for a tough discussion.

Discussion on the use of Ukrainian operators' SIM cards in Russian 'Shaheds'
According to the chairman of the cybersecurity subcommittee Oleksandr Fedienko, the Verkhovna Rada plans to discuss the issue of using Ukrainian operators' SIM cards in Russian 'Shaheds'. The Rada's Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence is set to hold a meeting on this topic.
Fedienko noted that if operators ignore the decisions made at the meeting, the Verkhovna Rada will consider legislative changes without their participation. He reminded about the previous meeting where the issues of localization and blocking SIM cards used by Russian drones were discussed.
'Through applications like Telegram, commands can be sent to the drone's autopilot, telemetry can be received, and the engine can be turned on or off, or route and speed can be changed via API,' Fedienko explained.
According to The Economist, Russian drones are currently controlled through Telegram bots that relay field data and video streams to operators. It's also worth noting that in Russia, preparations are underway to launch thousands of 'Shaheds' simultaneously.
The issue of using Ukrainian SIM cards in Russian 'Shahed' drones is being discussed in Ukraine at the level of the Verkhovna Rada. The discussion includes cybersecurity issues and the capabilities that have been presented to SIM card operators.
