Ukraine may secretly be allowed to strike Russia with Storm Shadow missiles, - The Times.

Ukraine may receive permission from the UK and the USA to launch missiles at ammunition depots and bunkers on Russian territory. This was reported by The Times.
Sources report that diplomats from the UK and the USA are ready to sign this decision, but may wait with the news at the UN until next week to not provoke Russia.
"The agreement may be reached in a closed manner to allow Ukraine to launch missiles with an element of surprise," sources note.
According to the article, an official decision was to be made after the visit of American and British diplomats to Ukraine last week. However, the decision was so complex that two statements were prepared for the press conference—one for permission and one for considering the request.
One source notes that the USA and the UK want to show that NATO is a united entity and avoid the impression that these two countries dominate decision-making. Another source emphasizes that the US administration wants to move fast due to the approaching presidential elections.
The final decision should be made during the UN General Assembly next week. However, the White House is concerned that this step could become an issue for Kamala Harris in her election campaign.
US authorities and foreign ministers of the UK, France, Germany, and Italy are already showing readiness for the agreement. Diplomatic sources explain that NATO wants to demonstrate unity and coherence of its actions to avoid the impression of domination by the UK and the USA.
Recall, US President Joe Biden and Labour Party leader Starmer discussed the possibility of strikes on Russia.
