Ukrainians in Lithuania will be able to receive financial assistance: who and how can register.

The migration organization in Lithuania provides financial assistance to refugees from Ukraine
The International Organization for Migration in Lithuania (IOM) is starting a one-Time financial assistance program for newly arrived Ukrainian refugees. The amount of this assistance will be 176 euros. According to LRT, Lithuania, despite the overall reduced flow of refugees, receives dozens of Ukrainians every week seeking refuge from the war. However, they need financial support, so IOM will provide them with one-time payments that will be aimed at the most necessary expenses.
To receive this assistance, Ukrainian citizens or third-country nationals who have arrived in Lithuania from Ukraine for the first time and crossed the EU external border no more than 40 days ago may apply. An important condition is registration with the Department of Migration to obtain a temporary residence permit.
Who is eligible to receive assistance
- Single parents or guardians with children under 18 years old
- Families with three or more children under 18 years old
- Families with a child with a disability under 18 years old
- Pregnant women
- Persons aged 60 and older
- Persons with disabilities
It is worth noting that from September 1 in Lithuania, employment benefits for foreigners without temporary protection status who cannot return to Ukraine have ended. This was signed by the Lithuanian Minister of Internal Affairs Agnė Bilotaitė.
