Ukraine Passed Key Screening for EU Membership.


From June 24 to 27, a review of Ukrainian legislation in two areas - 'Transport' and 'Trans-European Transport Networks' (TEN-T) - was conducted in Brussels, reported the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development.
This stage is the first in the negotiation process regarding Ukraine's accession to the European Union. The goal is to assess the compliance of Ukrainian legislation with EU norms and identify areas for improvement. The results of the screening will be summarized by the European Commission in a report that will be ready in 6 weeks.

The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development emphasized: 'In the transport sector, Ukraine needs to implement almost 400 regulatory acts from over 3,000 analyzed. This is about compliance with key European directives.'
Ukrainian legislation is being analyzed for compliance with EU standards in the transport sector. The completion of this process will help us bring our norms closer to European ones, which is an important step in preparing for integration into the European Union.
