Ukraine is preparing to receive light tactical vehicles Ermine. The agreement for the delivery of 20 vehicles was signed during the NATO summit, with the first deliveries scheduled for 2026. These vehicles will be used for the evacuation of the wounded near the front. This was reported during the contract signing.

Specifications and Purpose

The Ermine model will be available in two variants - with and without a crew. These vehicles will be used to enhance the rescue operations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in hazardous areas. Other Dutch companies are also involved in the project.

'We are grateful for the trust in our capabilities. The Ermine is an innovative and effective solution for the modern battlefield,' emphasized Koen van Leven, CEO of Rheinmetall Defence Nederland.

Technical Specifications

The Ermine series combines tactical transport with a mobile power source. It includes an unmanned ground vehicle, side-by-side buggies, and all-terrain vehicles in various 4x4 and 6x6 variations. All machines have a diesel-electric hybrid powertrain and a basic platform. The hybrid technology allows for the transportation of up to one ton of cargo and can cover over 1000 kilometers on a single refueling.

The Ermine can be transported by cargo helicopters such as the CH-47 or CH-53. This agreement benefits both the defense industry of the Netherlands and the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The acquisition of light tactical vehicles Ermine will provide significant support in ensuring the safety of Ukrainian soldiers in the conflict zone. These new vehicles will help enhance efficiency in rescue operations and support the military-industrial complex of Ukraine.
