Two Earthquakes Occurred in Romania.

An earthquake of magnitude 4.0 occurred in Romania
On the evening of April 21, an earthquake of magnitude four occurred in Romania. According to Digi24, moderate shocks were recorded at 11:15 PM in the Vrancea area at a depth of 70 km. Earlier that same day, scientists registered a weak earthquake of magnitude 3.6 at a depth of 121 km, with its epicenter near the city of Buzau.
Vrancea is an area of high seismic activity, making minor earthquakes a common occurrence. Just in March, over 20 shocks were recorded here. The strongest earthquake in Romania in recent years occurred in September 2024 near Buzau and had a magnitude of 5.4.
It should be noted that in northern Chile, an earthquake of magnitude 5.7 also occurred. The epicenter of the earthquake was approximately 80 km south of San Pedro de Atacama, at a depth of 178 km. Chile is located in a seismically active region where the Pacific and South American tectonic plates meet, leading to frequent earthquakes of varying intensity.
Additionally, in March, a strong earthquake of magnitude 7.4 occurred in Myanmar, resulting in the deaths of several thousand people. This earthquake was the strongest in the last hundred years in this country and caused destruction of both ancient pagodas and modern buildings.
Moreover, a magnitude 5.2 earthquake occurred in southern California, USA, with its epicenter located near the border with Mexico. This earthquake took place at a depth of about 13 km.
