In China, a father suffered a heart attack while helping his son with homework. This is not the first case.

In Zhejiang province, China, a father with a heart condition nearly died due to arguments over homework with his son. He is now in the hospital, where he was saved from a heart attack. According to the South China Morning Post, the man had ischemic heart disease that worsened because of emotional stress during his son's studies. Disputes over homework constantly created tension in the family.
This is not the first case of such a situation in China. Earlier, another father in the same province was diagnosed with serious eye disease because he was overly concerned about his son's academic success. In 2018, a mother in Jiangsu had a stroke after getting irritated with her daughter over prolonged homework sessions.
It is noted that many teachers delegate homework control to parents, which is why Chinese parents experience significant stress and uncertainty regarding their children's academic achievements. This is particularly pronounced due to the constant increase in competition for admission to universities in China.
