Social taxi service to be launched in four regions of Ukraine: how it will work.

The Ukrainian Red Cross has launched a social taxi service in Lviv, Zakarpattia, Chernivtsi, and Chernihiv regions
The Ukrainian Red Cross has started a pilot project that involves the launch of a social taxi service in several regions. This was reported by the organization's press service, as stated by 'Hlavkom'.
“The service will be available for people who need medical examinations outside of their homes, have temporary mobility impairments, such as fractures, or physically cannot move around the city independently,” said Oleksandr Babenko, Acting Head of the Red Cross Health Department.
Passengers who use this service will have the opportunity to receive assistance in transportation, starting from home, during examinations or procedures at medical facilities, and during their return home after the visit. The first users of the service will be elderly people and individuals with disabilities who need professional accompaniment.
Expansion of the service and other opportunities
Currently, the service is available only in a few regions, but after analyzing the project results, it is expected to expand to other regions of Ukraine. It should be noted that the Pension Fund of Ukraine also provides similar services for people with limited mobility at its offices and conducts outreach receptions for the elderly, those in need of care, and citizens with disabilities.
Recently, there was an incident of unacceptable treatment of passengers with limited mobility on public transport in Kyiv. This situation highlights the importance of introducing social services and attention to individuals with disabilities.
