Switzerland joined the sanctions against Russia and Belarus
Switzerland has joined the 15th package of sanctions against Russia and restrictions against Belarus approved by the European Union. The sanctions target military personnel, heads of energy companies, and individuals involved in the abduction of children and the spread of disinformation. These individuals are prohibited from entering Switzerland and transiting through its territory.
Additionally, 30 Russian defense contractors and shipping companies that transport oil and petroleum products have been added to the sanctions list. The assets of these companies will be frozen. Furthermore, services to 52 tankers transporting Russian oil and military goods are prohibited.
Switzerland has also joined the European Union's sanctions against 26 individuals and two organizations from Belarus.
