Russia increases LNG exports.


According to LSEG data, exports of Russian liquefied natural gas increased by 7.3% in January-September compared to the previous year, reaching 23.5 million tons. In September, this figure increased by 2.6% compared to August.
More than half of the total exports, about 12.2 million tons, were directed to European countries.
The volume of liquefied natural gas exports from Russia amounted to 2.81 million tons in September, which is 2.6% more than in August (2.74 million tons) and 8% higher than in September 2022 (2.6 million tons).
In September, Russia's LNG exports to Europe decreased to approximately 0.98 million tons, compared to 1 million tons in August and September 2022.
"Yamal LNG" of "Novatek" increased its exports by 10.6%, reaching 14.6 million tons in January-September, compared to 13.2 million tons in the previous year.
In September, the number of shipments from "Yamal LNG" decreased by 4.7%, reaching 1.63 million tons compared to 1.71 million tons in the previous month, but increased by 2.5% compared to September 2022, when it was 1.59 million tons.
Exports from Yamal to Europe remained at the August level, amounting to about 0.9 million tons in September.
According to LSEG and US authorities, 6 shipments of LNG were sent from the sanctioned "Arctic LNG-2" project since August.
The volume of exports from the "Sakhalin-2" LNG plant, which is focused on Asia, decreased by 2.8% in January-September, reaching 7 million tons compared to 7.2 million tons in the previous year.
In September, the number of shipments from this project amounted to 0.83 million tons compared to 0.89 million tons in August, remaining at the level of September 2022.
