On the night of May 4, an attack using drones from Russia occurred in Cherkasy. Rescuers have already removed the aftermath of this nighttime attack, reports the State Emergency Service.As a result of the shelling, five fires were recorded at various addresses in the city. Residential apartments, a warehouse of one of the enterprises, a summer cottage, and vegetation were on fire.Two apartments on the first and second floors of a four-story dormitory suffered significant damage. The windows of other apartments were also damaged.
One person was injured due to the enemy shelling.All fires were extinguished. At the scene, 26 units of equipment and 101 rescuers were involved.Let us remind you that over six explosions were heard in the city, and Ukrainian air defense drones were shot down.The first explosions occurred around 11:10 PM.In addition, that night, the Russian army attacked the capital of Ukraine. Kyiv became a target for drone attacks, but rescuers saved the situation and eliminated all fires.Destruction and fires were recorded in three districts: Obolon, Sviatoshyn, and Shevchenkivskyi.In the Obolon district, a fire broke out in an apartment on the top floor of a 12-story building. The fire damaged the roof and the ceilings.Seven cars caught fire near a residential building.In the Sviatoshyn district, a fire occurred in three one-story private houses.In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a tree caught fire, and an electricity pole and road surface under the railway bridge were also damaged.
