Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed the belief that reconciliation with Ukraine is an inevitable result of events and it's just a matter of Time. In his interview with the propaganda channel 'Russia 1', he stated: 'It seems to me that this is inevitable, despite all the tragedy we are experiencing now. It's a matter of time.'

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky earlier called Putin's initiative to declare a truce for three days from May 7 to May 9 a theatrical performance. However, Zelensky noted that Ukraine is ready for a truce from May 7, but for 30 days.

The Kremlin quickly reacted to Zelensky's statement, expressing disagreement with his proposal for a longer truce. Earlier, Putin announced a ceasefire from April 19 to April 21. In response, Zelensky stated that Ukraine is ready to fully stop fighting and act according to Russia, meaning 'silence in response to silence, strikes in defense against strikes.'

However, according to information, the Russian army carried out 387 shellings and 19 assault actions during April 19-20. The Russians used drones 290 times.

It should be noted that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky sees the declared truce as a manipulation by Putin.
