PrivatBank Warns Clients About Scammers
The bank informed its clients that scammers are quickly becoming more sophisticated, and even very experienced users can fall victim. It is especially important to be cautious with financial transactions in the rapidly evolving digital landscape. PrivatBank constantly informs its clients about new fraud schemes and ways to protect themselves, as it is one of the largest banks in the country.
'It’s hard to believe how easily scammers manipulate trust! They request help on behalf of friends, offer payments, and generous gifts. How can one resist? Friends, attackers are constantly hunting for your money,' the message states.
PrivatBank urged Ukrainians to be careful and follow simple safety rules:
- Do not rush to click any links and check websites through special services.
- Do not share your card details and online banking passwords with anyone.
- Enable multi-factor authentication.
- Do not open unfamiliar files with extensions such as .exe, .vbs, and .scr.
'And remember, if you become a victim of fraud, report it to your bank immediately. PrivatBank clients can do this in Privat24 under the 'Communications' menu – 'Report Fraud', the bank emphasized.
