Honoring the memory of Roman Panashchuk
Every day at 9 am, Ukrainians honor the memory of all those whose lives were taken by the Russian-Ukrainian war. Today we remember Roman Panashchuk.
Junior Sergeant Roman Panashchuk was killed defending Ukraine from the enemy on May 8, 2025, in the Kursk direction. This was reported by 'Glavkom' referring to the Rivne City Council.
Roman Panashchuk was born on November 30, 1990, in Rivne. He studied at school No. 9. Worked in construction. In recent years, he took care of his sick mother after her stroke.
In September 2024, Roman was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Despite all the difficulties in life, the man always remained kind, sensitive, and open. His sister Valentina recalls: 'He was the youngest in the family... Always helped, never refused anyone, was sincere, kind, and hardworking. Everyone loved him - relatives, friends, neighbors. You could trust him with everything.'
34-year-old Junior Sergeant Roman Panashchuk was killed defending Ukraine from the enemy on May 8, 2025, in the Kursk direction.
Farewell to Roman Panashchuk took place on May 21, 2025, at Independence Square in Rivne. After that, he was buried in the 'Nove' city cemetery.
The hero left behind a mother, four sisters, a brother, nephews, and nieces.
'Glavkom' joins in a moment of silence. We honor the memory of all Ukrainians who died in the struggle for the Motherland. We remember those who died at the hands of Russian invaders, light candles of remembrance, and bow our heads in sorrow during the nationwide moment of silence, honoring the bright memory of the citizens of Ukraine who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the state: all military personnel, civilians, and children, all who died in the fight against the Russian occupiers and as a result of the attack by enemy troops on Ukrainian cities and villages.
The soldier Roman Panashchuk, who died at the front, was a true hero and an example of dedication to his country, for which he is honored and remembered both in his native Rivne and throughout Ukraine.
