Beating of a Soldier in Smila: Main Suspect Receives New Charges.


The court has chosen preventive measures for two more suspects in the case of the beating of a soldier in Smila, Cherkasy region - round-the-clock house arrest. The main suspect has also been informed of a new suspicion. This was reported by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
At the request of the prosecutor of the Smila District Prosecutor's Office of the Cherkasy region, preventive measures were chosen for two more individuals suspected of hooligan actions against a serviceman - round-the-clock house arrest. The main suspect has also been informed of a new suspicion - extortion, hooliganism, illegal possession of weapons and drugs.
It should be recalled that as a result of a complex of search operations, law enforcement officers detained a 28-year-old man suspected of beating a serviceman and extorting money from him in Smila, Cherkasy region. He was hiding from the investigation in one of the hotels in the Cherkasy region.
Later, suspicion of hooliganism was also notified to two more accomplices in the crime. On September 11, the court chose a preventive measure for the suspect in the case of the beating of a soldier in Smila, Cherkasy region - detention.

Earlier, 28-year-old Volodymyr Dolotenko, who is suspected of beating a soldier in Smila, apologized on camera. The corresponding video appeared on social networks.
The incident also drew reactions from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Police of Ukraine. After that, he was notified of suspicion and charged with extortion and hooliganism.
