The Pension Fund of Ukraine explained how the status of a combat veteran affects the size of the pension in 2025.

The Main Department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia region clarified how the status of a combat participant affects pension provision.
According to the information from the authorized body, pensions for such persons provide for various additional payments and allowances, regardless of the type of pension.
Combat veterans receive an increase of 25% of the subsistence minimum for persons with reduced capacity to work. In 2025, this amount is 2361 hryvnias, so the additional payment to the pension amounts to 590.25 hryvnias.
Moreover, they are also provided with special cash assistance for living in a fixed amount - 40 hryvnias. This is stipulated by the Law of Ukraine No. 1603 dated March 16, 2004, 'On improving the material condition of participants in combat actions and persons with disabilities due to war'.
The Pension Fund emphasizes that the total amount of pension payments along with all allowances for combat veterans cannot be less than 5528 hryvnias. If the pension is less than this amount, the state provides monthly targeted assistance to reach this minimum.
It is also important to note changes for subsidy recipients.
