Vegetables have started to rise in price: how much do potatoes, cabbage, onions and carrots cost in the last month of summer.

Prices for vegetables in supermarkets have changed again. Recently, some vegetables have become more expensive, while others have become even cheaper. New data on the cost of potatoes, cabbage, onions, and carrots as of August 1st show how exactly their prices have changed.
In particular, young potatoes have become cheaper by slightly more than a hryvnia, down to 22.92 UAH/kg. The price for pink potatoes fell from 30.47 UAH/kg to 26.90 UAH/kg.
However, the same cannot be said for young cabbage – its price increased from 16.41 UAH/kg to 34.60 UAH/kg. Following it, white cabbage rose in price from 22.05 UAH/kg to 32.55 UAH/kg.
As for onions, white onions have decreased in price from 96.17 UAH/kg to 63.43 UAH/kg. Bulb onions are sold on average for 15.50 UAH/kg, instead of 22.97 UAH/kg. Young onions have increased in price by nearly 2 hryvnias, up to 14.38 UAH/kg.
The average cost of carrots has dropped from 30.68 UAH/kg to 27.70 UAH/kg.
Currently, in Ukraine, we are seeing a rise in prices for many products, including pork and lard.
