Russian aviation struck energy facilities in Konotop district
The Sumy regional administration reports that today, on October 28, Russian forces launched an air strike with drones on critical infrastructure energy facilities in the Konotop district.
The press service reports that services are responding promptly to this situation, and restoration work is underway.
As a result of air defense battles, six enemy 'Shaheds' were destroyed.
The government, regional military administrations, and local authorities are working on preparing the infrastructure and accumulating resources to ensure light and heat in homes during the winter.
The heating season has already started in Kyiv, but Kharkiv has not yet provided heating due to favorable weather.
In the Donetsk region, the heating season is also under threat due to fighting and shelling. The Zaporizhzhia region may also be left without electricity.
The Odesa heating season is also under threat because the district boiler house generators were not installed.
