On the night of June 5, Russian troops again attacked Kharkiv. This was reported by the city's mayor, Igor Terekhov.

At about 00:30, Terekhov stated that an enemy rocket hit Kharkiv, particularly affecting the Slobidsky district. Drones were also spotted surrounding the dense residential areas in this district.

As a result of the attack, several high-rise buildings were damaged, and several people were injured. Homes and cars near the buildings burned, and there are already nine dead and wounded, including a 13-year-old child and an infant.

Repeated attacks in Kharkiv

According to preliminary information, there were six cases of drone strikes on the city. One of them did not explode, while another hit an apartment on the eighteenth floor of a building above. Another building was struck on the second floor.

Police and volunteers are working at the scene, assisting the victims. This is not the first shelling of Kharkiv by Russian forces in the past week.

Each new shelling leads to new casualties among the city's civilians, undermining stability and security in the Kharkiv region. Russian aggression continues to terrorize Ukrainian citizens and requires an international response.

The message from the mayor of Kharkiv, Igor Terekhov, about the new shelling of the city by Russian troops indicates a sustained tense situation in eastern Ukraine, where invasions and aggression from Russia continue. The brutal act of violence has resulted in human casualties and significant material damage, calling for immediate response and support from the international community.
