Two months fought for life after injury in Kursk. Let's remember Vasily Nagorny.


Every day at 9 a.m. Ukrainians honor the memory of all those whose lives were taken by the Russian-Ukrainian war. Today we remember Vasily Nagorny.
Soldier Vasily Nagorny passed away in one of the capital's hospitals on February 26, 2025, due to serious injuries sustained while performing a combat mission in the Kursk region. This was reported by the Rivne City Council.
Vasily Nagorny was born on November 10, 1983. He graduated from Rivne secondary school No. 8, and then entered Klevan vocational technical school, where he trained as a tractor driver. After graduation, he worked at a confectionery factory, and in recent years worked as a loader.
In October 2024, Vasily was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"He was always cheerful, funny, and kind, ready to help everyone," said his relatives.
In December 2024, during a combat mission in the Kursk region, soldier Nagorny Vasily Sergeyevich sustained serious injuries. He fought for life for two months in a Kyiv hospital, but unfortunately, on February 26, 2025, the Hero passed into eternity.

Farewell to the Hero took place on March 6 in Independence Square in Rivne. The hero was buried in the "Novo" cemetery.
"Glavkom" joins the minute of silence. We honor the memory of all Ukrainians who died in the struggle for the Motherland. We remember those killed by the hands of Russian invaders, light candles of remembrance, and bow our heads in grief during the nationwide minute of silence, honoring the bright memory of Ukrainian citizens who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the state: all military personnel, civilians, and children, all who perished in the fight against Russian occupiers and as a result of the enemy's attacks on Ukrainian cities and villages.
