Ukrainian football remains completely unprofitable

Only a few Premier League clubs reported profits for the 2024/2025 season. Among them were not 'Shakhtar' and 'Dynamo'. It was noted that these giants suffered huge losses — 'Dynamo' lost 12.9 million dollars, while 'Shakhtar' lost 42.8 million.

What is happening with Ukrainian football

Income from transfers did not save the clubs from unprofitability. The pandemic and military events affected commercial activities. While 'Dynamo' and 'Shakhtar' are investing in improvements, other clubs are making profits due to a rational budget.

The distribution of European cups for the next season will provide clubs with the opportunity to gain additional income. However, for 'Dynamo' and 'Shakhtar', this is also an important signal to the public, although actual payments from UEFA partially offset expenses.

Profit of UPL clubs before taxation:

  • 'Vorskla' — 242.8 thousand dollars;
  • 'Kryvbas' — 159.6 thousand dollars;
  • LNZ — 81.3 thousand dollars;
  • and others.

There were also mentions of the former head of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, Serhiy Bubka, the residence of Olympic champion Yana Klochkova, and a possible transfer in football.

Summary: The report on the financial state of Ukrainian football clubs highlighted that only a few of them were able to gain profit from their activities. Significant losses were incurred by 'Dynamo' and 'Shakhtar', indicating a difficult situation in Ukrainian football. At the same Time, the distribution of European cups for the next season may serve as an additional source of income for the clubs.
